WE HAVE THE POWER

“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves. It seems to be the law of our general nature." - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)

Have we forgotten all just authority for Government comes from the people? Have we forgotten that Government is the people's creation, not their master? That it is the citizens' responsibility to ensure that order, justice, and freedom are maintained? I believe we have all become too “inattentive!” That the wolves are not only at our door, but in the people’s house. We have allowed the dilution of our constitution through our embrace of political correctness and by permitting socialist ideology to politically deconstruct our constitutional foundations of limited Government, personal freedom, individual responsibility, and free markets. Just because we are retired and living here in Sun City doesn't mean we can sit back and ignore what is going on in our country.

We cannot keep giving Government more and more power and survive as a free people much longer. We (all of us, retired or not) must decide who we are, what we are capable of and re-chart our course. We must demonstrate to our children, neighbors and to ourselves that it is not policies or politicians, but people that make this nation great. Are you helping to preserve the great principles on which this nation and your personal freedoms are based?

 Beware the false flag

During my 28 year stint in the military I received training on false flag operations. False flag operations are covert in nature and designed to deceive in such a way that it appears as though an action is being carried out by someone other than the perpetrator. False flag operations can range from intentional provocation or “letting things happen,” all the way up to outright orchestration. Serious false flag operations are underway in this country today.

Under the guise of “hope and change,” a nexus of New World Order (NWO) radical socialist groups have seized political power, shaped the presidential agenda, and threaten the very future of our country. For decades, these socialist groups have been quietly infiltrating the major institutions of American power: our schools, our military, our economy, our media, and Congress itself. This socialist movement is a highly organized effort consisting of numerous specialized groups that target specific policy areas while cooperating more broadly in a concerted decades-long campaign to transform America.

Infiltration by NWO groups has produced Government control of our health care, massive regulation burden, redistribution of wealth, an assault on our education system, wasted stimulus legislation, archaic economic “reform,” a systematic dismantling of our military, and through media acquiescence, a weakening of our republic and core American values.

A NWO false flag operation is currently being perpetrated on the American people with the so called “occupy wall street” revolution, an effort to deflect blame for mounting socialist policy failures by engaging useful idiots to protest banks, the rich and wall street. Millions of Americans sense there is something very wrong with the President of the United States, but they don't know exactly what. The answer lies in Obama's deep ties to the NWO, an anti-American fringe nexus instrumental in building his political career, some members of which are helping draft White House policy today.

Obama is the false flag posed by the NWO. The NWO is using Obama to destabilize our institutions, social norms, and our identity. The recent defeat of Obama’s jobs bill will simply bring more executive orders as Obama looks for additional ways to circumvent congress. At the same time the NWO wants an uprising like in Egypt and they are organizing groups to carry this out. If they can’t convince more Americans to revolt through the current Wall Street assaults, expect more unilateral Executive Orders and increased false flag activities.

 Strike Me Down

Remember when Obi Wan Kenobi says to Darth Vader “strike me down and I will become more powerful than you could ever possibly imagine.” Well the Evil Empire is upon us and Darth Hussain Obama is trying desperately to strike down our republic. He fails to recognize that those he demonizes like the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Fox News, O’Reilly, Hennity and Palin, all opponents of the Obama socialist administration, are now more powerful and popular than ever. This seems to be the case, not only for Jedi Knights, but for anyone opposing the Obama ideology or at least for those on his enemies list.

Glenn Beck says “the truth has no agenda,” and in some respect this is borne out by the fact that Kenobi’s statement, however fictitious, does seem to relate. There is power in truth and our truth is an ancient one: that love endures and overcomes; that hatred destroys; that what is obtained by love is retained, but what is obtained by hatred proves a burden. Obama’s ideological hatred of this country is his burden and will prove to be his downfall in November 2012.

The Tea Party Christmas of 1773

In 1773 Santa first appeared in the media as St. A Claus. Also appearing in the media was the account of a Tea Party in Boston Harbor. Can you imagine what Christmas must have been like after that event? Just the week before, Sam Adams and his band of imposter Indians had dumped 342 chest of the King’s tea into Boston Harbor. After such an event, one has to wonder what gifts were given that Christmas. I’m guessing lots of food and drink with the children receiving a knitted hat, oranges or maybe a shinny penny. However, I doubt the people of Boston knew what a Christmas gift they were giving our nation. A quote from the time may help to sum it up.

“How grand the Scene! (No Tyrant shall oppose)
The TEA is sunk in spite of all our foes.
A NOBLE SIGHT to see the accursed TEA
Mingled with MUD and ever for to be;
For KING and PRINCE shall know that we are FREE.”

If the people of 1773 Boston were here today, I believe they would encourage us to hold another tea party for freedom, not this December, but in November 2012.

Rick Santorum, consistent and confident for 2012

The race for president of our constitutional republic is coming to South Carolina. Have you decided on a candidate? All the GOP contenders have positive attributes. Newt has great debate skills and a wealth of ideas. Paul is domestically strong but foreign policy weak. Romney remains the overall steady lead, Perry and Huntsman never took off and Santorum has come from way back in the pack. Rick Santorum has earned every vote he received. My guess is for every hand he shook, he got another vote. I believe he has an honest heart and speaks with a clear conscience.

For the past three years I have been very uncomfortable not knowing what Obama was doing. Now everyone knows the damage that he has done. If Santorum is the next president, I would never doubt he was always working for America's interest. In my mind, Santorum exhibits several common leadership attributes: strong moral character, a vision, ethics, confidence, and the ability to communicate and use words effectively. Santorum has remained steady in the belief of his message. People are beginning to see Rick Santorum as a serious candidate with a moral purpose and a deep faith in the family as the basis for a strong America.

South Carolina will be a key state in clarifying the GOP field for the remainder of this election cycle. If you want our country to remain a constitutional republic, seek the truth, say a prayer and vote.

The Crises in America

China’s expansion into the South China Sea and Iran’s threats over the Strait of Hormuz are the beginnings of new crises to be used by Iran and China to help keep Obama in office. Not surprisingly, Obama also sees these activities as beneficial; because they also represent useful emergencies to rally voters if his 2012 re-election campaign is not going well. China and Iran both see Obama as weak, and would like to extend his reign. China wants the massive oil & gas deposits under the South China Sea and Iran seeks regional hegemony over the Middle East. Obama’s recent withdrawal from Iraq and subsequent re-positioning of naval forces in the Pacific puts in place a structure to facilitate the staging of a diversionary re-election crisis.

Obama continues to make testing-the-water statements about dictatorial actions, implements regulations and makes appointments circumventing congress. This clearly illustrates his methodology to transform America into a socialist country. We cannot let this happen. We have allowed the decline of our liberty, massive spending and massive debt to put us in a position where everyone is angry and blames everyone else for the mess. Obama uses this anger to unilaterally ignore congressional oversight, and take unconstitutional actions under the guise of “protecting the people.” That has to change! Don’t be fooled by a false crisis. The prime crises in America is re-educating ourselves about the constitution and electing someone who will abide by its principles.

Compromising Your Principles Will Not Win a Super Bowl

Many in today’s liberal media would have you believe that compromise is the only way to move the Government forward. Liberals believe if you are a principled political candidate of “no compromise,” you cannot win. If the New York Giants and the New England Patriots came to the super bowl with that attitude, who do you think would prevail? Do you honestly think Coach Belichik and Coach Coughlin focus their practice sessions on compromising with the other team?

The guiding principle of all teams in the NFL is to win. The team that compromises on that principle will never be successful. America’s principles come from our constitution; popular sovereignty, limited government, separation of power, checks and balances, federalism, republicanism, and individual rights. These basic principles should never be compromised in the name of getting along.  The surrender of basic principles to achieve some diluted agreement is liberal folly. Basic principles are either followed or not followed.

President Obama constantly chides the Republicans to step away from ideological line drawing and embrace compromise. In his mind, compromise means embracing his socialist ideology, and ignoring our constitutional principles. Those internal and external forces seeking to overthrow and transform this country will not compromise. During the super bowl the Giants and Patriots both played the game to win. We are not in a game but a real life battle to retain our freedoms and principles. Our super bowl comes in November 2012. No compromise!

Technology Can Enhance Learning Achievement

I recently attended the H. E. McCracken Middle School and Bluffton High School technology night showcase and was impressed on several levels. As I went through the various exhibits, it was evident the students were very proud of their projects and their enthusiasm was clearly demonstrated in their presentations. Computer technology and how it relates to science, business, math, English, social studies, related arts, SPED/ESOL and JROTC was on display. The JROTC was especially impressive with their well tailored uniforms and inspiring deportment.

When asked, many of the student presenters knew the career path they wanted to follow and had even selected a college they felt would help them achieve success. However, many felt learning would be greatly enhanced if more technology was integrated into the classroom. One student was already using an IPAD to complete a portion of his homework. Some suggested the availability of nooks or kindles in the school library would greatly improve interest and access to reading materials. Even at the middle school level, the students showed a keen awareness of the need for more technology integrated curriculum.

The technology on display was clearly a useful tool and learning facilitator. The presentations were a fun experience that could have been enjoyed by all parents and students alike. However, parents and other student attendance was sparse. If students are to reach their full learning potential, technology infused curriculum is important, along with parent, teacher, and community involvement.

Charter Schools and School Choice

As part of a Tea Party project supporting school choice for South Carolina, I recently interviewed Ms. Alison Thomas, Director of the Riverview Charter School.

I observed a highly engaged staff; small, quiet classrooms; and IPADs in use by all sixth and seventh grade students.  It surprised me to find the school is bound by the same federal and state mandates as public schools, but functions well on much less funding per student. Director Thomas pointed out that the per-student funding they receive is finite. And yet through lower administrative overhead, meticulous teacher selection, low turn-over and careful budgeting, she is still able to meet the full range of student needs. The school’s core values of perseverance, empathy, gratitude, mindfulness, integrity, stewardship and cooperation are emphasized throughout the curriculum and daily activities.

I believe charter schools succeed because charters require commitments from students and parents that public schools rarely demand. There are codes of conduct, dress and homework rules, longer school days, and dedicated teachers with an engaged director. The waiting list for Riverview is over 500 students. This should tell us something. I’m convinced implementing public school choice and emulating charter school management would greatly improve the learning outcomes in our public schools. Further, parents must have the freedom of choice that charter schools and school choice would provide. I strongly encourage parents to demand more charter schools and ask their legislative representatives to approve school choice for South Carolina.

Do You Know Liberal Code Speak

As we move closer to the election, I wanted to help raise awareness of the special language or “code speak” that we can expect from liberals. When you hear one of the following phrases, you can substitute the real meaning, and understand what they're really talking about. Let’s start with “giving back,” code for wealth redistribution, as in taking from the hard working and giving to the shiftless. “Eco-friendly,” being expensive or made by my brother-in-law at the EPA. "Social or economic justice,” expressions that betray the leftist agenda of big government and liberal social action. Don’t confuse social and economic justice with "equal justice” under the law, which is a phrase engraved on the front of the United States Supreme Court building in Washington D.C.

“Balanced,” two liberals arguing over the rate at which government or taxes should be expanded or raised. "Empathy," the new code word for judicial activism. “Fairness Doctrine,” terminology used to silence diverse voices, such as conservative opinion shows. “Wealth Inequality,” you worked harder and or are smarter than me and that’s just not fair. “Liberation Theology,” a Marxist interpretation of the Bible whose aim is to stir up class envy and race hatred. And most recently the White House told the Catholic Church they should listen to the “voices of enlightened accommodation.” Translation, the Government knows more about applying church doctrine than the church does. Forewarned is forearmed, beware of the code.

The Progressive Plan

Now that you know liberal code speak, you need to know the progressive plan. Since the 1920’s progressives have been implementing a plan to destroy our constitutional Government. The first stage involved infiltrating and organizing groups for control, a la George Soros. Following that, creating a shadow Government by infiltrating unions, education, media, courts and Government at the highest levels. Additionally, they are attacking our religion, misinforming our youth, re-writing our history and pitting our communities against each other. If you pay attention to the news, you know this is happening.

Progressives are now focused on the second stage, bringing chaos to the streets, as in Occupy Wall Street. This chaos has been facilitated by President Obama. Negative stereotypes are being pushed by the left-wing media and the truth is systematically being distorted. Progressives have joined forces with liberals, radicals, communist, and Marxist to push for a new political system. Progressives now see their biggest opportunity since 1920, with many Americans distracted by our massive debt, high unemployment and gas prices. They are moving ahead with all deliberate speed, and this summer will be the most critical in this nation’s history. In order to completely destroy our republic they must grab control to “coerce” and “liquidate” those who oppose the new socialist utopia. Take these people at their word, they are a serious threat. To stop them we must stay informed, stand for the truth, join with like minded people, work together, and trust in the constitution.

Why do Boards of Education fear Charter Schools

“The public school system is already so beleaguered by bureaucracy; so cowed by the demands of due process; so overwhelmed with faddish curricula that its educational purpose is almost an afterthought.” CA Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Justice Brown could not be more on point. I recently attended an enlightening tour of the Riverview Charter School with a small group of people for School Choice. The group was very surprised to learn how the staff manages to run a school so conducive to learning, while at the same time overcoming obvious road blocks put up by the board of education. The faculty’s enthusiasm for the students and the unique learning environment at the school was very apparent. The fear of charter schools by our school board is also very apparent. Charter schools embarrass local public schools because they often do a better job educating children, for less money. Charter schools are also free from much of the regulations and controls that regular public schools have to put up with. Charter schools therefore threaten the public-school monopoly because they introduce a little competition into the system. The tour provided everyone with a refreshing look at a public charter school of high caliber succeeding in a county struggling with low academic achievement. When the public demands more charter schools, authorities will lose much of their monopoly power over our children's education and educational outcomes will improve. For better schools, think school choice and charter schools.
